Whether you are planning a fun weekend getaway, or a once in a lifetime trip to Europe or an adventure trip with the family, you dont have to exceed your travel budget. Whether youre 15 or 70, you can travel just about anywhere in the world for free, and even with a nice stash of cash in your pocket. This would be done by telling like-minded people about a trip and convincing them to go with you. The three top incentives to get people to do anything is cash, products and travel.

To travel from Arusha to Dar es Salaam is easiest by air, however, this will cost about US$200 per person. In order for your company to have a good travel incentive program, you have to have contacts in the travel industry that will enable you to send winners anyway at very little cost to you. If you want to leave Arusha and travel by bus to make the ferry crossing to Zanzibar in a single day, I would suggest leaving Arusha around 6 am to ensure you are in Dar es Salaam by 2pm.

By booking the services of a solid, competitive shuttle van transportation company, you will benefit from special rates when traveling to Disneyland and other popular attractions. Once the mind is made up to travel this glorious place, a bit of preparation is definitely needed.

If you come to Travel Shanghai China and have time, just outside the city, one or two hours on a bus are some real treats. The mode of travel best for your trip will depend upon your destination. Some places are most easily accessed by airplane, others are more car friendly, and still others might be best reached by train. These China Travel Tips, Survival Techniques, will help you get around and make your trip to China easier, so you will be able to experience the real China with a little less stress and I hope some of these China Travel Tips will come in handy and will make your trip to China that little bit easier.

In order to keep your sanity and actually enjoy some of the travel spots you take your children to, follow some simple pre planning and travel organizing tips. Once you think youve done all the planning, consider all that you need to bring on your travel. Some travel reward credit cards offer cash advances that can be very helpful when you travel, but you should remember to inquire about the charge for cash advances.

At first glance the fares that these airlines charge can seem ridiculously low; Ryan Air have given their flights away almost for free in the past although you still have to pay the airport tax of around twenty UK pounds. Firstly, the low fares airlines in Europe nearly always use out of town provincial airports often about forty or fifty miles from the respective city centers.

The internet is of course a great place for information, other sources are friends and family who have traveled to the destination, travel agents, a library or bookstore, embassies, consulates and tourist boards.

It is also helpful if you are familiar with the schedule and the value of the travel rewards that these credit cards may offer. It would be smart to be familiar with the schedule and the value of the travel rewards that these credit cards may offer./pbr

Travel Planning Donts

Planning for a trip is not the most enjoyable part of a vacation. Travel planning involves hours and hours of searching for airfare, arranging transportation and accommodations, and packing. And if youre completely clueless about travel planning, it could take you even longer.

Below are a few things NOT to do when planning for a trip. Travel planning requires careful execution and if not done properly, can result in the worst trip youve ever taken.

Travel Planning: What Not to Do

Book the First Flight You Find:

If youre traveling abroad and need to book airfare, DONT book the first flight you find. If you want to find cheap airfare, you need to compare prices. Search online and call the airlines to see what deals you can find. The Internet is filled with airfare discounts and cheap air tickets. All it takes is a little travel planning and initiative to do a search online or pick up the phone and call the airlines. If you dont, you could end up spending hundreds of dollars more than you should have.

Pin the Tail on the Travel Map:

In the game Pin the Tail on the Donkey, a person is blind folded, spun around, and given the task to pin the tail on the paper donkey hanging on the wall. As fun and entertain as this childrens game is, its not a good method to use when planning a trip. If youre deciding on where to go, dont just pick a random destination and hop on a plane. You need to research those travel destinations you are interested in visiting. When researching each destination, find out the best time of year to go (you dont want to travel to Paris during the rainy season). Find out when the best weather is and plan your trip around those months. Bad weather can quickly turn your exciting vacation into a week spent indoors watching foreign television.

Wait Till the Last Minute to Pack:

Packing is almost always the last task on the travel planning list. After the tickets are purchased, the itinerary is set, and the time-off request has been submitted and signed, its finally time to pack. However, you shouldnt wait until the night before you leave to start packing. You should start packing at least a week in advance. Why? Because you dont want to stay up all night packing and wear yourself out before you even leave for the trip. Pack gradually throughout the week. Pack those items you wont need during the week. Then, pack clothing items as they become available (i.e. worn and washed and ready to be worn again on your trip). By gradually packing throughout the week, you wont stress out packing at the last minute and hoping you remembered everything. Pack gradually and save yourself some time.

Travel planning takes time, effort, and a little bit of common sense. If you slack off and dont plan correctly, your trip could end up a disaster before you even leave your home./pbr

Pet Friendly Travel 10 Tips for Hassle-Free Travel with

In the United States alone, over 60 million households have one or more pets. Pet owners in 15 million of those households travel with their pet, and the majority stay in pet-friendly lodging. Fortunately, pet friendly hotels, condos and vacation home rentals do exist. If you will be traveling with your pet, here are some pet friendly tips to remember for safe and trouble-free travel.1 – When you make your reservation, double-check that pets are allowed. An important advantage of reserving online is that you can see – in writing – whether or not pets are permitted and any restrictions. Online, you can print out your reservation receipt that includes the pets allowed information. Verbal reservations leave more room for misunderstanding and miscommunication. If reserving by telephone, ask the reservation person to mail you a confirmation receipt that includes the pets allowed information.2 – Is your pet an experienced traveler? If not, you should begin getting your pet more accustomed to traveling. Begin by making your car a fun place for your pet. Get in the car with them, play with them, and give them a treat have them enjoy being there with you. Then take a short drive with them. Gradually increase the length of time and distance that you drive with them. Before making a long trip with your pet, the idea is to have them comfortable with being in the car for extended periods of time. 3 – Remember that securing your pet while traveling in the car is crucial for their safety and yours. Consider purchasing a dog safety harness for your pet to use while traveling in the car. If you have a station wagon or SUV, you can purchase a vehicle barrier that keeps your pet confined to the rear area. They are usually sold at pet stores or are available online.4 – Be sure that your pet has an identification tag and wears it while on the trip. The tag should have your pets name, your name and phone number. If possible, use your cell phone number, a home number and the number of where you will be staying.5 Carry a photograph of your pet with you on your trip. If your pet should ever become lost, youll be able to show others exactly what your pet looks like instead of just relying on a verbal description.6 – Check with your vet for any recommended vaccinations appropriate for your trip – exposure to ticks while hiking, exposure to other dogs while boarding or heartworm prevention if your dog will be exposed to mosquitoes are examples of important preventative measures to take before your trip. If your pet is a dog, have an up-to-date rabies tag for your dogs collar. If you decide to day board your dog while on vacation, you may be required to show paperwork proof of the rabies vaccination.7 – Once you arrive at the pet friendly lodging, inform the check-in person that you have your pet. You can inquire if there are any restricted areas where your pet should not be taken. Pet friendly lodging staff should be very accustomed to answering these kinds of questions and will appreciate your awareness.8 – In your hotel room, condo, cabin rental or vacation home rental – never let your pet use the furniture or beds to sit, lay or sleep on unless youve covered the furniture or bed with your own cover. Place your pets food and water containers on a mat or newspaper in the bathroom, where cleanup will be easier. When staying in pet friendly accommodations, you may choose to feed your pet outdoors.9 – If youll be leaving your pet alone in the room or vacation rental, make sure the front desk or rental agent knows. Be sure that you leave your pet secured in their travel container or crate if housekeeping staff will be entering the room at any time to clean. You certainly dont want a housekeeper to enter and be surprised or even attacked by your pet! A pet may also run out of the room when housekeeping enters if left unsecured.10 – Be very careful in warm or hot weather with leaving your pet in the car. Even when the outside temperature is only in the 70s or 80s, the interior of a vehicle can reach 100 degrees and higher, especially when parked in the sun. It doesnt take long at these temperatures to cause serious or even fatal harm to your pet. Traveling with pets and staying in pet friendly lodging can be lots of fun – after all, your pet is part of your family too. Just using common sense and planning ahead makes for an enjoyable and surprise-free vacation.br

Travel Insurance is an insurance policy that covers different problems that can occasionally be associated with traveling. When traveling abroad, either in relation to your business or in connection with your studies, and in most cases, even if your trip is for pleasure, it is advisable to get an insurance policy covering international travel. When traveling, whether on a business or a holiday trip, a travel insurance policy is essential.

Be familiar with local laws and customs of the country where you want to travel. Grab a book, take a course, or ask a friend familiar with the language and customs to help you out. If you are on a visiting tour of Sydney, the best place to start is, of course, the Sydney Opera House.

As a frequent business traveler, you must stay abreast of the latest business travel news. Women in business who need to travel as part of their work face the problem of staying connected with their children when they are on the road. According to the American Express Business Travels second survey of corporate travel management service in China, the country will become the worlds third-largest market for corporate travel within five years.

There are many different kinds of adventure travel jobs out there and finding the right one is easy. Have you put any thought into the best places to go when it comes to overseas adventure travel? Nepal is one of the most popular places of all, when you visit this magical place you will have the best adventures right there at your doorstep. International adventure travel: Safaris, balloon tours, swimming with dolphins, bicycling down volcanos, trekking in the Himalayas, Walmart on Christmas Eve – the list is almost endless. And are worth your vacation.

When it comes to budget travel you do have to watch out for a few things. Before you start shopping for the best deals, it is a good idea to come up with a travel budget. If you plan to travel to a destination where you will need to rent a car, it is a good idea to plan for at least $30 per day for every day you have the car, for parking expenses and gasoline.

Part of the Middle Zambezi Valley, Mana Pools is host to some of the biggest concentrations of large mammals to be seen in Zimbabwe; it is also renowned for its varied and colourful birdlife and forms one of the last remaining strongholds of the black rhino; game viewing, hunting and canoe safaris are popular. Africas first Tran frontier park, Kgalagadi land of thirst is shared with and crosses the border into Botswana to facilitate the migration of wildlife and the movement of free-roaming predators; red sand dunes, sparse vegetation and dry riverbeds of the Nossob and Auob ensure excellent opportunities for game viewing and photography. Lush riverine forests and seasonal flood plains; some of southern Africas top birding spots, especially the Caprivi Game Park; known also for its arts and crafts.

There are many compelling reasons to utilize the services of a travel agent, also known as a consultant or specialist. Been an independent travel agent has good advantages and profits. Furthermore, instead of turning to the discount fare finders like Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity or Priceline that lay-travelers search, as a travel agent, you additionally gain access to the lesser known, but more lucrative sites travel consolidators utilize. You, as a licensed travel agent would obtain special contact with these consolidators and the deals vendors must offer to maximize their costs per person.

Family reunions have been a rapidly growing tradition since 1999 and is now accelerating at an enormous pace as technology and travel combine with family interest and genealogy making finding, communicating and meeting family members a fun and exciting pastime. Out of guilt or a need to maximize the amount of time we spend with our children, we have convinced ourselves for years that a family vacation requires sacrificing the interests of the parents to satisfy the needs of the kids. Just traveling anywhere presents a certain amount of challenges to make sure that all goes well, but international travel introduces even more variables into the mix that require advance planning to successfully navigate./pbr

How to Find the Best Travel Air Fare Deals Without the Use of a Travel Agent

14 Nov

Author: Wendy Mitchell
Source: ezinearticles.com

While using a travel agent may make your travel planning so much easier, many are now opting to plan their own vacations allowing them to save tons of money that can be better used for fun excursions once they arrive at their travel destination. While some seem to have a natural knack for finding the best travel deals on and off the web, others may feel like they are intimidated with so much information that they find it hard to determine the facts from the lies.

I used to struggle to find the best possible rates on my flight and hotels that would allow me to fly cheapest and stay for the cheapest rate possible without sacrificing quality. I used to spend hours searching for the best deal, and when I thought I found, and booked, the best rate on web I soon found that another site offered better fly deals. Talk about frustrating. There are several options available when looking for the best fly deals. Some e books offer fantastic travel tips and secrets on how to get the cheapest trip. Also, check the major airlines for travel deals and specials that they may not have listed on their website. They tend to not offer these specials unless you ask about them. Call your destination site directly and don’t forget to ask about package deals. Several popular tourist areas do have package deals or will work with you to make one for you.

It may take a little extra work on your part but is well worth the savings in the long run. Travel agents are not your only option when trying to find the cheapest trip.

Author: Eshwarya Patel
Source: ezinearticles.com

Are you planning to go for a trip with your family and worried about your pet? If yes, then, you need not worry as there are several ways to fly with your pets safely out-of-country, and also cross-country. However, not all airlines allow pets to fly in the cabin. Also, the pet air travel policies of every airline are different. Therefore, it is very necessary to contact the airlines directly to get all the pertinent information.

Following are a few basic guidelines that you should follow when traveling in a flight with your pet:

1) Most airlines do not allow the pet outside its pet carrier.

2) The pet must weigh less than 100 pounds and must be not less than 8 weeks old.

3) Non-traditional pets, such as snakes, tortoise, etc, are not allowed. It is better to find someone who can ‘baby-sit’ them while you are away.

4) If you want the pet to travel in the cargo hold, it is mandatory to produce a health certificate from a licensed vet. The certificate should not be more than 10 days old.

These are just a few basic pet air travel rules that you should be aware of when traveling with your pet. For more pet air travel tips and information, you can either look for free travel guides or directly visit the official website of the targeted airline. It is very essential to do all the necessary research before traveling so that you can make the trip more comfortable and pleasurable for you, the airlines, and for your lovely pet.

Big City Travel Tips – Safety First

02 Nov

Author: Sam Serio
Source: ezinearticles.com

Big city travel has never been more alarming for individuals not used to city travel and unfamiliar with the city in question. It can be daunting traveling to a new destination, but apprehension is more likely to rise to the surface when you look at just how many crimes take place these days. Couple that with the alarming big city travel stories that have been publicized on the Internet and it is little wonder that individuals debate as to whether they really want to experience certain cities for themselves!

However, big city travel tips can easily help to put the minds of potential travelers at rest. There are several things that anyone can do to keep themselves safe in the big cities and thus can visit them, see the sights and enjoy some well-earned time away from the stresses and strains of modern life with little hassle. Simply follow the big city travel tips below and you cannot go far wrong!

1. Luggage – Only take what you need when you travel and make sure that you have a list of the belongings in your bag. This big city travel tip can save you time if your luggage does get stolen, but will also enable you to find what you need in an emergency. You should never leave your luggage unattended for even a second while traveling in a city. It will most likely either be stolen or tampered with if left unattended for a few seconds so ensure that it remains within your sight and possession at all times.

2. Money – Only take one or two credit cards with you on your big city travel trip and ensure that the PIN numbers, if you have them, are not in your possession. Also, when taking money with you, split it up. Divide the cash between pockets in your luggage and areas on your person. For example, keep some of it in your socks, some in a pocket, some in a money belt under your clothing and so on. That way, if anything does happen to you, you will at least have enough money to get back to your hotel. If you are going to a city abroad then take travelers checks with you because they are insured. If you lose them then you can cancel the originals and receive replacements usually within 24 hours.

3. Schedule – Vary your schedule from day to day when undertaking big city travel. This may not seem like a big deal to couples and families that are set in their ways, but individuals looking to make a quick buck one way or another undoubtedly target some tourists. If you vary your schedule then it will be almost impossible to predict where you are going to be at any given time and this can keep you safe.

4. Clothing – Never wear anything that projects wealth or affluence when undertaking big city travel. This includes jewelry, clothing and any accessories that may point to the fact that you would be a great target for a mugging or robbery. Most tourists wear normal and relatively cheap clothes that blend into the background, and anybody flaunting that guideline is putting him or herself at risk.

5. Family – If you and your family split up during big city travel time, make sure that you have a way to get in touch with each other, have arranged a set meeting place and time, and are completely clear on all of these points so that you will be alerted to the fact that anything is wrong straight away. Wherever possible in big city travel, individuals traveling together should stay together. However, the need does sometimes arise. If it does, make sure that you all have the address of the hotel and a map of the city with you at all times.

6. Scams – There are always individuals looking to scam people that are strangers to an area, and during the course of big city travels there are many of them about. Only ask trusted sources for directions and advice, never follow the guidance of strangers unless they are affiliated with official bodies and only buy merchandise from official stores. These guidelines may sound like common sense, but many people flaunt them and this can get them into difficulties!

Day Trip to Berlin

From our base in Rostock, we decided to take the train down to Berlin on a day trip. Compared to the UK, travelling by train in Germany is luxury. It would appear the German’s consider the train to be a service rather than a business where the shareholders are the highest priority…but enough of that.As we were travelling on a Sunday, we were able to take advantage of a special weekend ticket (Schones-Wochenende-Ticket.). For 37EUR, up to 5 people could travel on 2nd class from Rostock to Berlin return on any of the direct trains plus travel in Berlin on the S-Bahn (city trains) was also included. The 250km (150miles) trip too around 2 hours 40 minutes on a fast, comfortable train. As our time in Berlin was limited, I did what I always advise people to do when they want to see as much of a city as possible in a short space of time
