br
Arent all travel insurance plans basically the same?
No. When you read travel insurance policy language, remember that as with any legal document, the definition of the terms is what governs the working of the policy (including payment of the claim).
I create hypothetical travel scenarios for training purposes. This includes contacting our travel insurance suppliers claims departments to see how they handle a given scenario.
A common concern of travelers are Pre-Existing Medical Conditions. In some cases, you can cancel, interrupt your trip or receive medical treatment if you (or a non-traveling family member) has a pre-existing condition. It has to do with the policys wording.
All travel insurance excludes claims due to pre-existing medical conditions. Some travel insurance plans will waive the pre-existing condition exclusion if you get your travel insurance in the first 10, 14 or 21 days after your first trip payment date (ie – before the end of these 10, 14 or 21 days).
Any payment on your trip is considered the first payment. This includes the tax you pay when you redeem frequent flyer tickets, refundable deposits or even a trip planning consultation fee if that fee is later credited toward your trip costs.
Youll protect yourself if you have to cancel or interrupt your trip because of that pre-existing medical condition. There are three primary rules to keep in mind:
You have to insure your trips full prepaid, non-refundable cost and
The person with the medical condition has to be medically stable when you get your insurance and
You must get your travel insurance in the first 10, 14 or 21 days after your first trip payment date.
You can cancel or interrupt your trip or receive medical treatment even if you have a pre-existing condition – if you follow these rules.
This seems simple enough, doesnt it?

Yes. Except there are companies that interpret this wording slightly different from what you expect. Be on the lookout for a clause in policies that states, General exclusions include any expected or foreseeable events.
What this means to you is this: If you buy a travel insurance policy that includes the words General exclusions include any expected or foreseeable events, heres what you need to do:
Ask if buying the policy in the Waiver Period really does waive this general exclusionand
Are there other conditions (ie – medically stable or covering the full trip cost) that have to be satisfied
No Surprises
If you are told, No, that wouldnt be covered because its not unforeseen, I strongly suggest you steer clear of those companies – you dont want an unexpected surprise.
We do not offer policies from companies that play this semantics game. Like you, I want to be sure a travel insurance plan will work just like I expected it to.
Traveling can be very expensive. Most people plan their trips well in advance and save money to make the most of their trip. However, a vacation can be ruined in an instant by the unexpected. If a member of the family becomes ill, a sudden storm makes your tropical vacation impossible or theres an unexpected heat wave during your planned ski vacation, your trip may be ruined. Travel insurance can give you peace of mind that all your efforts will not be wasted.
Travel insurance covers a variety of expenses to save you from wasting the money you invested. Travel insurance covers trip cancellations and interruptions. Travel insurance can also provide you with medical coverage in case of an accident or unexpected illness. Damage to checked luggage is also covered with travel insurance. Theres no faster way to ruin a vacation by arriving only to find the airline lost your luggage entirely. Travel insurance will cover that loss so you can continue enjoying your getaway.
With the recent storm activity that has devastated popular vacation spots around the world, emergency evacuation is a concern. This can sorely strain a tight budget but travel insurance will cover those costs. Travel insurance will also often cover theft or vandalism that may occur. Leaving your hotel only to come back to find your valuables are gone can put a damper on any vacation. Travel insurance will give you the confidence that unexpected emergencies will not ruin the trip youve been planning and saving for.
The type and amount of travel insurance you will need depends on the length of stay and your location. You may not need travel insurance to cover terrorist activities when going to Florida but it may be a wise investment if you are exploring the pyramids of Egypt. Check online to compare travel insurance costs and coverage. Also, your travel agent will be able to give you valuable advice on travel insurance including which travel insurance is most popular for your type of trip. Check your credit cards as well to see if they offer travel insurance. Many major credit cards offer reduced rate travel insurance to their members.
Travel insurance is not expensive, especially compared to the cost of most vacations. You can often choose travel insurance to suit your particular needs or get all included travel insurance packages. The prices for each vary so research what your needs are and only buy the amount of travel insurance that will be necessary to cover unexpected emergencies that may occur. Do not overbuy travel insurance because it will be a waste of money.
Travel insurance can bring peace of mind to the vacationer. After saving for your trip and planning your dream vacation, you dont want to lose your investment because of an emergency thats beyond your control. Losing your belonging either by theft or accidental loss can put stress on an otherwise relaxing trip. Travel insurance will let you continue to enjoy your getaway and cover you for those unexpected problems that always occur at the most inconvenient times.

Everyone likes to live a comfortable life and that’s when insurance policies lend a helping hand. Due to the benefits associated with these insurance plans, more and more people are now opting for some sort of insurance product. This is the reason why you can witness a diverse range of insurance plans being offered by insurance companies. Amongst many other options, one of the most popular options is trip cancellation insurance. This insurance policy is just what doctor ordered for frequent travelers. Although it is good to get one such insurance for all types of trips, you should never neglect their importance if you are on a trip costing more than $1,000 a person. Having travel cancellation insurance or trip cancellation insurance is a guarantee that there won’t be an issue pertaining to your investment. It means this insurance protects your investment. However, it is important to point out that this policy should not be taken from any provider. You should be on your toes when searching for the best provider. It is so because the popularity of trip cancellation insurance has inspired many unscrupulous sellers to come in business. You should do your best to stay away from them. That’s why it is advisable to pay attention to all terms and conditions before you finally purchase travel cancellation insurance. First thing first, check your eligibility. Yes, if you think any one can take one such plan, you are mistaken. And, if you think you will always be able to get a complete refund, you are way off target. There are certain restrictions and eligibility criteria that should be kept in mind. Another important thing in this regard is to check the amount you will be paid after canceling your trip. For instance, you should check if your cancellation insurance pays 100% of trip cost or not. If you opt for an insurance policy that doesn’t cover your complete insurance cost, you will never be able to get any benefit. Here, you should also pay attention to the amount paid by an insurance company for trip interruption. Moreover, it is good idea to pay attention to medical expense coverage, as it is important as well. All this implies that there are certain terms and conditions that are associated with trip cancellation insurance. This is just like taking out another type of insurance policy. You will have to consider your eligibility, trip length, and the total amount paid by insurance provider in case you cancel your trip. All this is to be considered beforehand. If you proceed without paying a close attention to these points, you are not going to get a good insurance plan. And, not to mention this insurance plan will never deliver the goods. So, be very careful when taking a decision about trip cancellation insurance otherwise you will find yourself in hot water.

nriol.net is the best site for the purchase of trip cancellation insurance, but it is not limited to this particular product, as there are many other types, including travel cancellation insurance, visitor insurance, visiting parents insurance, and short term health insurance. So, visit now if you need any of them!

Ever since the introduction of the Internet and online marketing, globalization has become more than just a dream. Truly, advancements in technology and communication have revolutionized the business industry. In response to this great change, banks and financial institutions have also sought innovation and improvement in the products and services they offer.

Just take a look at the wide variety of credit cards in the market today. In the past, credit cards were available only for individuals and with very limited features. Today, both large corporations and small business owners can get credit cards that are especially designed to meet the demands and needs of their businesses.

Corporate Credit Cards and Your Business

The competition between credit card companies has also become stiffer. To attract more cardholders, business credit cards today are equipped with different rewards programs. Let’s take for instance, corporate credit cards with travel rewards. These business credit cards are made to cater companies that are frequently into travels. Does your business also require you to travel a lot? If yes, then a business airlines credit card is worth considering.

What are the specific features of corporate travel rewards credit cards? As its name suggests, these cards are designed to help business owners manage their travels more easily and effectively. For example, if you usually send some of your employees on trips for business purposes – they can use their supplementary cards to pay for their travel expenses (airline tickets, hotel accommodations, car rentals, etc.) When your bill arrives by the end of the month, you can check on the bills charged to your account to make sure that all expenses were officially for business.

The monthly account statements, along with the quarterly and yearly financial reports are valuable references for your business accounting. These reports contain all the expenses you’ve made for the previous months or the past year in complete details (ex. date of purchase, type of purchase, price, unit, date of payment, etc.) More importantly, a business owner can integrate these reports to their own ERP systems or accounting software for a more convenient accounting.

Having a business corporate credit card also gives its holder the purchasing flexibility and convenience. This is especially true as most corporate credit cards today offer Internet Shopping Services, extended warranty and purchase protection, travel insurance, auto rental insurance, legal referral services, and 24/7 customer support.

Corporate credit cards with travels rewards are meant to provide bonuses or incentives for a company’s travel expenses. As you use your card, you are also collecting points in your account. These points can either be converted to free air trips, gift certificates, merchandise or even cash. Some travel rewards card even allow points to given as donations to a business’s chosen charitable organization.

Credit cards for business are also great tools for building your company’s credit rating. As you use your card for your purchases, you are also building up your business credit history. The key to maintaining an outstanding rating is by being consistent and timely with your payments.

When you’re planning your vacation overseas you look forward to sunny skies, romantic nights, and spectacular sights. What you don’t look forward to is the possibility of becoming ill or injured during your trip, but it happens.

If your regular group health policy doesn’t cover your medical expenses overseas, they won’t be much help if you have a medical emergency on your trip. Fortunately, many travelers’ insurance companies now offer medical coverage during your trip anywhere in the world, at an affordable price.

Before searching for a new policy, check with your current health insurance company. Many large carriers, such as the BlueCross BlueShield association members, offer coverage for foreign claims, and also have customer service departments that are trained to help you navigate through a foreign health care system in case of emergency.

However, this benefit may not be available to you if your group insurance requires you to seek treatment from a specific provider network. Most HMO and managed care plans restrict their coverage to a specific service area.

If you’re covered by a smaller group insurance company they may accept claims from doctors or hospitals in other countries, but you may want to give them a call to see if their customer service staff is familiar with foreign health care systems, and if the company has developed long-term relationships with hospital systems outside the US. If not, they may not be able to help you find care in an emergency.

Many Medicare supplements also exclude claims from foreign countries, as does Medicare itself.

For peace of mind, you will want a temporary travelers health insurance policy if your own group plan does not cover medical costs overseas. When searching for your new policy, make sure you read the contract to find out if the policy covers pre-existing conditions, medical evacuation, and emergency travel services.

Your travelers’ medical insurance carrier’s customer service representatives will be your first resource in case of emergency overseas. Some companies go far beyond paying medical claims and help you to:

- Find a new flight in case your scheduled flight was cancelled.

- Help you fill an emergency prescription if your medication is lost or stolen.

- Get you emergency cash if your wallet is stolen, and help you replace a stolen passport.

- Arrange and pay for emergency evacuation to the nearest hospital in case of accident or illness.

- Reimburse you for non-refundable costs if your trip is cancelled due to illness.

- Help you find lost luggage.

- Schedule an appointment with a qualified English-speaking physician in the city you’re visiting.

The services offered, and the premiums charged will vary greatly between insurance companies and between policies. The premiums will go up as the benefits increase and the deductible goes down, so careful shopping is important. For instance, you will want to be careful to choose a policy that covers pre-existing conditions if you have a chronic illness, such as diabetes, that may cause you to seek medical attention on your trip.

Before leaving home, be sure to find out if your group policy will cover your medical expenses overseas. If not, a good travelers’ health insurance policy will give you peace of mind on your next vacation.

Even the best planned vacations can be interrupted by glitches and emergencies. You lose your luggage. You slip, or catch a bug, and need medical treatment. These not only disrupt your itinerary, but can cost you a lot of money.
That’s where travel insurance (also called travel protection) comes in. Specially designed to address the situations and risks involved in travel, it provides coverage from the moment you leave, to the moment you return to your home.
For example, travel insurance can reimburse you for any baggage or items that you may lose during your trip. This is particularly important if you plan to buy anything of high value, such as local antiques, or are carrying very expensive jewellery or electronic equipment.
Your standard medical insurance also tends to be limited to a network area, so without travel insurance, you will have to pay for any hospitalization or medical treatments you receive while abroad. This can be very pricey, not to mention stressful: imagine being sick and broke in an unfamiliar country! If you are visiting a place where doctor’s bills and other emergency procedures are expensive, or where there are very real health risks, travel insurance is absolutely crucial.
Travel insurance is also very important if you plan to take a driving vacation. Many automobile policies will not extend coverage outside the country you live. The last thing you want to worry about is how to pay for a rental vehicle that got smashed by another driver, or take over the costs of repairing a car who you may have hit (a risk anyone takes by travelling through unfamiliar roads with unfamiliar driving rules).
Travel insurance can also provide protection against emergencies that are so specific to going abroad that they cannot be covered by your standard insurance policy. This includes trip interruption. Any fees or down payments that you may have made that would otherwise have been forfeited if you had suddenly cancelled your trip will be returned to you.
Travel protection plans can also provide assistance services like an emergency hotline and medical transportation services. This is very valuable when a crisis hits in a foreign country, where you may not speak the language or know your way around a city well enough to locate the nearest emergency facility. When you are distraught or distressed, or when time is of the essence and you need to get help right away, travel protection plans can be your safety net. You may be a stranger in a strange land, but you are not alone.
You may ask, “Why should I get travel insurance when I have really good regular insurance?” Many people are under the impression that their automobile, homeowners’ credit card and medical policies are so “extensive” that they would automatically provide protection anywhere in the world. That is not necessarily true. You need to read the fine print. If you don’t, and fail to take the additional coverage given by travel protection, then you may find out your insurance policies’ limitation the hard way: when you are caught in an emergency, and spending a large amount of money (on top of the deductibles and co-payments) with the hope of compensation very far off. Travel protection is a sure guarantee of security. Now you can take your vacation with complete peace of mind?and isn’t that what vacations are about?
